My Granddaughter likes helping her mom in the kitchen, therefore her mom bought her Play Food, and a Chef’s Gear.

I was a teacher in elementary school – I think the very best thing you can do for any kid’s education is to let them participate in real world tasks like that. It helps so much in math and science, and even in reading, because when they read stories they understand what the characters are doing. Most importantly, it teaches them that they can accomplish things; they don’t have to sit back and let others do it. I saw it over and over again with my students. Her future teachers will be so grateful for all the work you are doing with her!

Oh yes, I know this all too well! We have a play kitchen and play food and there is just nothing the kids would rather do than be in the “real” kitchen with me!! She is just too darling!

Both of my sons followed me around the kitchen and had their favorite specialties that only they did (usually involved puddings or Jello!). Now, at 42 and 45 years, both of them do major cooking/grilling in their families. such a sweet post…….blessings, Doreen
