The Matching Skirt

Posted on

Hi Everyone !

I’m grateful for this New Day and thankful to God for His Goodness towards me. I made a Tote Bag not too long ago and have been working on the Matching Skirt and completed it.  You can find the Tote Bag Post here:   https://projectsbymtetar.wordpress.com/2017/08/06/wkend-project/?preview=true

Here are some pics of the Matching Skirt:

Summer Project #1

Posted on

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are well, and Blessed as I’m. I’m truly grateful to God for HIS goodness towards me, and strengthening each day HE allows me to see.

I would like to share my first Summer Project which I made for my daughter. I’m believing she is going to like this surprise.

The dress is made from a leftover fabric  from another project, and I was Blessed with another fabric from a friend which I used as lining. Thank you Doreen!

Hi Everyone!

Hope all is well, and Blessed as I’m. All thanks to My Lord for HIS Grace and Mercy allowing me another day, providing for me, and strengthening me making it possible for some projects making.

I really enjoyed upcycling my old pair of jeans. Here are the photos:

Hello Everyone!

Hope all is well, and Blessed with you all as it is with me. I’m both grateful and thankful being able to see this day, and being strengthened through God’s Grace and Mercy.

I will like to share my most recent Sewing Project which was very challenging for me. This is my first ever Fully Lined Garment. All thanks to GOD for making it all worked along with patience, and determination.

My Granddaughter inspires me with sewing more these days. She compliments me with each and every project I make. She likes watching me sew and actually wants to try using the Fabric Machine as she calls the Sewing Machine.

The dress is made from two different fabrics.

The most difficult task in sewing this dress was the lining which I wanted it to look reversible. Also for the first time was machine gathering. Here’s the Fully Lined/wrong side of the dress.

Here’s the right side of the dress.

I believe in waste not want not. I had some fabric leftover and thought why not upcycle one of My Granddaughter’s Sweaters. Kindly excause the color variation of the camera. The pics were taken at a different time.

Out of both sleeves I was able to get four patches, for a scarf.

The last piece I was able to sew a Tote Bag.
